Legacy

Founded in early 1947, WALA has been one of the leading privately owned fragrance manufacturers, with its presence in domestic and international markets. 

In 1947, Late Shri Naranbhai Wala founded the fragrance house in Palitana, Gujarat. Following that, in 1950 the business and operations of the fragrance house were temporarily moved to Pune, Maharashtra, where it was officially incorporated into a company. After the sudden demise of the founding father in 1956, his son, Late Shri Pratapsinh Wala, took over the business, and it was permanently relocated to Bhavnagar, Gujarat.

Wala & Company is currently headed by Mr Prakash Wala, a third-generation perfumer who took over the fragrance house as the Managing Director of the company in February 2022. The company’s headquarters are in Bhavnagar, and it has two semi-automated manufacturing units in Bhavnagar and Ahmedabad.

There is an unmatched authenticity founded on years of experience and the transmission of heritage, values, and knowledge which has been passed down through three generations. And, with virtuoso mastery and reverence for modern raw materials, each generation has added its stamp to a timeless journey.

  1. 1947 - Company Founded

    Late Shri Naranbhai Wala founded the fragrance house in Palitana, Gujarat.

    The business and operations of the fragrance house were temporarily moved to Pune, Maharashtra.

  3. 1956 - Shri Pratapsinh Wala took over Business

    Late Shri Pratapsinh Wala 2nd Generation, took over the business, and it was permanently relocated to Bhavnagar, Gujarat.

  4. 1993 - Awarded as Highest Exporter

    Government of India awarded us Highest Exporter of Perfumes.

  5. 1995 - 2nd Time Awarded as Highest Exporter

    Government of India awarded us Highest Exporter of Perfumes 2nd time.

  6. 2022 - Mr Prakash Wala took over Business

    Third-generation perfumer who took over the fragrance house as the Managing Director of the company in February 2022.
